The Debt
Congress must make
ev’ry effort
to pay off all our
debt.
Instead our pols
each year resort
to jeopardize our
land’s kismet.
The rule should be
pols get four years
to lessen what we
owe...
and should
Congress stay in arrears
fifty percent must
go.
{And every four years
who stayed shed tears...
and why, they’ll
surely know.}
