We can’t let weapons, gun or knife,

be sold to those who threaten life.

Some may note the mentally sick,

and if controlled we’ll have less strife.

If politicians pass a law

that tell miscreants not to call,

but the shysters find some holes

through which the crooks can crawl.

Do not let politicos

A Quiet Place

 

Your mind must find a quiet place

where you can ponder at your pace,

but media and the milieu

cannot your inner peace displace.

 

So many channels on TV

invite you to watch their fare,

but advertisements you will see

will break calm spells and blare.

 

Computers and the telephone

will keep in touch with kith and kin.

Unfortunately, they oft are prone

to talk ‘til blahs set in.

 

So move into your library

with muff to quell all din.

Then read fine prose or poetry,

and you’ll find peace within.

how can these fools expect our vote

when on Trump’s lie too many dote.

Trump tells his lie repeatedly,

but his facts are really flimsy.

Best let him plod that foolish path,

but join him you’ll feel voters wrath.
