Fatigue {Satori Haiku}

Don’t make life duress!

Paid, or not, if tired rest...

fatigue can obsess.

My Poetry

As laureate, my poems are free...

they bring me peace and that is key.

Since I have used the Internet,

my followers alone beset.

From USA and foreign lands,

forty-one thousand are my fans.

I love them all and each now friend...

ninety-two nations my rhymes wend.

Over three thousand poems were sent,

and never have I asked one cent.

                  Amendment I

Trump loves Amendment I,

it shields him when he lies.

It is a means to let him vent

when he the truth denies.

Satori Haiku

Never hesitate!

Congress can affect your fate...

best, fools amputate.

                     Sun Rise

As sun rises, beat the tattoo

if yesterday opposes you.

For so it will the morrow, friend...

if you don’t change ere this day’s through.

                                                                          Impossible

Impossible!  Forget the word.

Ignore it if it’s seen or heard.

Divers dreams…die…dissipate

when it keeps wit from being stirred.

                         From my book, Rubai

Father’s Day

No longer does he ride a steed

but in his heart he’s just as bold.

Fathers must strive to solve your need

with the same knightly code.

Amendment I {Satori Haiku}

Make lying taboo!

That said, or wrote, must be true...

fail, and jail, for you.

From my books, Zen Poetry.

Behold the sky as clouds display

the entrails of a dying day.

The aura flow from rose to gray

augurs to all “There’s no replay.”

From my chapbook, Rubai Gems.

                           Dark Money

Like terrorists, all corrupt pols

have long forgot their holy vows.

They have for evil sold the souls...

next vote best end their future fouls.

From my book, It’s My Turn.

Fidelity

Before you make a solemn vow

ensure you can commit.

Once you have pledged to steer the prow

you must press on with grit.

Some tasks may not seem viable,

yet, need but firm resolve.

With rain and wind reliable

a mountain can dissolve.

From my Elk poems, The Bugle.

Though truth was stretched, the knave was bold.

And all his lies that had been told

over time lost their stench,

but lies are now tenfold.

            From my chapbook, Logic Loosed.

Passion’s Placebo

Music should all chaos tame.

Harmony should peace maintain.

If music strikes a chord within,

tranquility now fills your brain.

From my chapbook, Passion.

AI {Satori Haiku}

People love Siri,

but scammers now use AI

to con you and fly.

From my book, As The Mood Prescribes.

A quiet pond a mirror makes,

reflections true there lay.

A tranquil mind, a mirror too,

where peace and calm array.

A pebble tossed into the pond

will stir and spoil that scene.

A seed of doubt within a thought

can soil that once serene.

Let not the winds of worry,

nor wistful waves of woe,

distort the mirrors echo

that comes from deep your soul.

Bully Beware!

{From my book, The Essence of Jim.}

Some bullies sneer like Fu Man Chu

and try to fake the role.

Some others will demand their due

with warlike rigmarole.

Little ploys like snarl and bellow

will work if you’re a bear,

but if not within their marrow,

impostors should beware.

For those who find you tiresome

may sense your pantomime,

and guises can be burdensome

once they are past their prime.

Far better that they check their goal

and find a better course...

for tyrants who have played this role

oft end with dire remorse.

From my first self-published book, It Could be Verse

Why do fools think that they can find

the hidden secrets of the mind

when every breath, thought or act

can add, subtract, loosen, or bind?
