                                                                              Time Moves On

           Time moves on.  He can not wait

         to solve that which we meditate.

       Once more He writes within His book...

       for some, too soon;  for most, too late!

The Joint Session

Joe Biden’s talk was excellent,

and what he said was salient.

Few red pols applauded and rose...

for most he said they do oppose.

{The GOP displayed ennui.

Joe spoke to you and me.}

Your Next Vote

If pols had time to warm their seat,

there is no mystery.

If they tend to flow with the fleet

you know their history.

If yes-men do not comfort you

you may want to bid them adieu.

You must beware of the tyro,

they have no history.

All the things that you should know

are still a mystery.

Listen to what they say,

but pray he’s a valet.

Arizona Republican Fraud

Trump likes the fraud within AZ.

If The Don makes the con believed,

he will attack all states broadly...

those fairly lost, and he since grieved.

{Remember Jan 6 Capitol...

his White Supremacists may be on call.}

Arizona GOP

You know Trump lost the election...

many times verified.

Why is it now your selection

to use a fool not certified?

{If you hire crooks with our taxes,

next vote red pols will feel axes.}

Politicians!

You have vowed to obey

the Constitution and all within.

It has told you that come what may,

the people must not feel chagrin.

Do not violate Amendments

nor modify without due cause.

Do not demean Amendment XV

by mutating voting laws.

{Politicos, that is your vow...

obey it or deserve hoosegow.}

Friday’s Haiku

To Paraphrase Shakespeare’s,  As you like it

All the world’s a stage.

Haiku-Earth Day

it’s time we act to save it

Chauvin’s  Trial

Results of Derek Chauvin’s trial

are for all much needed.

If death results, there’s no denial

proper  justice must be meted.

It matters not by perp or cop,

nor their faith or hue of skin,

in our country, we must stop

and bare all facts therein.

Trump’s Golf Tournament

Trump’s planning a golf tournament,

make money for the RNC.

$25,000 players pay...

how much will the committee see?

{Another “The Don” con?}

Poetry from my blog, It’s My Turn

Trump’s GOP/Putin Meeting (Circa 2019)

The Prez would not relay the facts

when they with Putin did relax,

The voters should now question why...

for he has made our worries wax.

{Since we don't know what was said.}

I agree with Biden’s Afghanistan decision.

{Poem from my book, Trump’s Worst in Verse.}

August 21, 2017

Trump-This is Afghanistan

A nation filled with rival clans

who serve those with the highest pay.

Its exports are the poppy plant's

drug that can cruel death purvey.

For seventeen years we've fought a war

and watched our heroes fight and die,

while their leaders gave our dough

to those on whom we can't rely.

Leave, then stop the flow of drugs

and never again befriend the thugs.

Trump’s Think Tank

Trump’s developing a think tank

that will mirror the GOP.

The wonderful words of his plank

we at this moment fail to see.

Eighty million contributions

have sent him on the current course.

He’ll doubtless find same solutions

he used his proud boys to enforce.

Police Reaction

If police must deploy

with a crime in progress,

they know pressure starts to buoy,

and any fear they must suppress.

Though who they face are large and mean,

and the danger is apparent,

bring more enforcement to the scene

and felons may relent.

{It matters not the size or hue,

it matters they bid fear adieu!}

 Trump’s Unity Speech?

Trump thinks he runs the GOP

because his base is vigorous.

When he attacks a company

dark money lost is atrocious.

{When The Don attacks a valued friend

their long affection may just rend.}

Fame

As you now vie for Fame’s applause

be wary of his harsh, blind laws.

It’s what was grasped, not what was cast

that dictates how he spurs your cause.

The Don’s GOP {circa 2019}

It is hard for me to believe

how far the GOP decayed.

Trump seems to have taken your souls...

to him alone most have obeyed.

Trump tries to circumvent the law

while striving to become a czar.

Since you’re the puppets at his call

you must not let him get that far.

Politicos Unite!

I never thought it could happen…

politicos unite!

Republicans and Democrats

at last do what’s deemed right!

The president and congress

together in one cause,

and when time came to cast a vote…

not even one short pause!

They solved our every problem

with hardly one harsh word

and not a whiff of pork

when all states’ pots were stirred.

But then, it didn’t happen.

It was but my heart’s theme...

for when I heard the morning news,

I knew ‘twas but a dream.

      Games

We dare not lose and thought the fool.

We’re taught to win must be the rule.

Yet, every joust, though won or lost,

becomes for us another tool.

 Another Trump Con

The Don has learned from telling lies

all the tricks he can disguise.

When he asks base help his cause

they find he never stops withdraws.

(He has a means preset to say

they’ll pay forever and a day.)

                                    ‘Tis Time

‘Tis time, indeed, that you appraise

the misspent hours within Life’s maze

there are never enough tomorrows

to amend lost yesterdays.

Beat The Tattoo

       As sunrise comes, beat the tattoo

             if yesterday opposes you,

        for so it will the morrow, friend,

     if you don’t change ere this day’s through.

April Fools

                                               by James E. Cox

April First…a day for play

when fertile minds with humor stray,

and those who fail in mental duels

are mockingly called “April Fools.”

But some are more than “April Fools,”

they’re prey each day for modern ghouls...

the cannibals whose wills are whet

by waxing off another’s sweat.
