Should The Don Return

The Don has said he’ll run again

in two thousand and twenty-four.

This is the time for all sane men

to tell him true what they abhor.

His base cannot like all he does.

This is their opportunity

to say his logic sucks because

of war he waged on our country.

{Trump still says that he was cheated,

but he was justly defeated.}

Robo-scams

Our lives vie in an arena

akin to the coliseum in Rome.

The foes are just as dangerous,

and oft they strike us in our home.

By e-mail, phone or Internet

with ploys to catch us unaware,

they try to hold us in their net

while they our money snare.

They’re worse than human cannibals...

some live off us as would a tick.

Though in the darkness they now live,

in a cell throw all quick.

The Mars Landing

Congratulations NASA team

for landing safe on Mars.

You confirmed again your spacecrafts

are safer than our planes and cars.

Trump’s Taxes

The Don must now reveal the tax

that he has paid throughout the years.

We soon will know if he was lax,

and if payments are in arrears.

If the pittance we heard he paid

is really insignificant,

that means all tax he did evade

The Don no longer can recant.

The Don’s Attorneys

All lawyers must practice debate,

treat right or wrong with equal weight.

That’s why The Don needs so many

for at least one must lies mutate.

Rhyming Haiku-Evil Pervades

Egos of depraved

Politicians Are Oft Cretins

Greenhouse gases absorb sun’s rays,

a blanket forms and weather faze.

Hence, come the storms and fires from winds...

yet pols just watch as world decays.

{They cannot merely watch...

it’s beyond what fools may botch!}

The Senate’s Vote

They saved The Don, then slinked away.

It matters zilch what red pols say.

They had a choice and gave Trump wings...

now must await what next vote brings.

{They saved The Don, we vote anon.}

In February, Presidents,

who we felt passed our tests,

have faces on a monument

because their toils impressed.

A Valentine

For those most dear within your heart,

there is no special day.

For every tender, thoughtful act,

will send your love their way.

To succor them and comfort them

when dreams have gone awry,

will let them know no seed’s fallow...

let Time decide when they should cry.

When they excel and passions soar

such that they fly too high,

best praise, but hold them close to you,

‘till their wings in stillness lie.

Or merely state you miss them

and wish that they were near...

extend the hand of fellowship

and pray for them good cheer.

Send kith and kin such Valentine

and love will ever intertwine.

The Don Escapes His Just Desert

The GOP did it again,

saved The Don from his just desert.

Trump urged the base of his roused men

to fight ‘til they his loss subvert.

What The Don has done was treason...

fear can’t be the Senate’s reason.

They knew that Trump was culpable...

yet believed the lawyers’ drivel.

 {Though Trump corrupts our history,

the Senate fools have set him free.}

The Don’s Approaching Impeachment

The Don’s lawyers and GOP

are looking for an escape route.

Trump’s Senate red pols are antsy,

and lawyers think most facts pollute.

How can they ever face their base

if bogus lies provoke disgrace?
