The Laureate-TrumpTweets

You say who writes a bad critique
accepts falsehoods your foes oft leak.
Indeed, one could say,
is on the airway,
truth alone lies in that you tweet.

The Laureate-Trump's Trip

He played his cards like “Maverick”,
regardless they are pros.
Did his elan but force a draw,
and rile their libidos?

The Laureate-My Prayer

O Heavenly Father,
as you once guided Moses
toward the promised land,
guide now our politicians
to words You etched upon Time's sand.

Amen!

The Laureate- {Fiduciary Rule}

{Fiduciary Rule}

Seems Red Pols want to change the rule
that guides advisors what to do.
They think the market too complex
and could turn some to nervous wrecks.
Advisors, therefore, should take charge
to help the fools to wealth enlarge.
The pols, I think, have failed to see
that perps maybe the wealth payee.

The Laureate-Waste Not You''re Hour

Waste not your hour with what's in store,
behind tomorrow's opaque door.
Far better that you check your goals.
You can be less; but, seldom more.

The Laureate-Alms

Alms
Indians and schools ask us for aid.
The Art's, and Vet's pleas never fade.
They are our Social Infrastructure...
'tis time for changes to be made.

The Laureate-Red's Laws

Republicans have gone amok,
the present laws they move to shuck.
What they now pass as progress
may leave our country mired in muck.

The Laureate-The Ego

Trump's greatest foe...his ego,
it is much too heavy cargo.
Billionaire friends may choose offend
than deign to debase their bravo.

The Laureate-To My Wife on Mother's Day

My mother you are not,
and that is good…I think.
Dad said, when young, I was a snot,
and drove my mom to drink.
Let’s celebrate this day
for you have two fine sons.
I’d buy a big bouquet,
but pollen stirs the runs.
So let us merely dine,
and share a kiss, or two.
The day should turn out fine…
the snot, dad knew, is true to you.

The Laureate-Prez Safety

We shield the Prez and progeny,
the cost for which we are payee.
Although they can spend billions,
our debt is in the trillions...
curb business travel and whoopee.

The Laureate-Perks For Perps

Some pols are perps who feather their beds,
with perks received ‘til their deathbeds.
Once they would be tarred and feathered...
but now “no vote” the shame embeds.

The Laureate-Cinco de Mayo

"Cinco de Mayo" you celebrate,
and sing, and dance...rejoice till late.
You say that you are free,
yet try your best to flee,
for perps now rule your present state.

The Laureate-The Vote

The Prez says he now likes the Pols,
may wish no longer drain the swamp.
Take care, when you condone each snit,
it lets his every whimsy romp.

The Laureate-Why

Why does Clinton now emote?
She failed...too late to state the cause!
Do Dems sense Prez may sink our boat,
and boast their choice had far less flaws.

The Laureate-Just Think

Our Indians would smoke a pipe
whenever they'd negotiate.
They'd think a while lest they spout tripe...
our Chief must pause before he prate.

The Laureate-May 2017

This month we honor mothers
for all their love they gave.
We also honor others
who died to our land save.
