The Laureate-Russian Bounty on American Soldiers

Russian Bounty on American Soldiers

Trump will not admit to brief...
voiced Russian bounty disbelief.
Though he and Putin talked,
The Don by no means squawked.
{If Russians pay for death of troops,
we clearly know how low Trump stoops.}

The Electoral College

Delegates who voted

The Laureate- “Senator Martha McSally

Senator Martha McSally

We voted down McSally twice...
then the Gov gave her McCain’s seat.
Don’t make us cure like throat of phlegm
and o’er and o’er must heave repeat.

The Laureate-Pence’s Covid-19 Report

Pence’s Covid-19 Report

Was what said by Pence
 in The Don’s defense?
He merely echoed trash from Trump...
we are all not his base, nor dense.
{Though Trump’s the boss, oppose chaos.}

The Laureate-Trump's Follies

Trump’s Follies

The Don is now responsible
for those infected at rallies.
Regardless how he denies it,
it’s he who will pay for follies.
{Not all buy it, when you deny it.}

The Laureate-Flynn Love-in

The Flynn Love-in
            (Trump)                       (Barr)
When The Don and The Dung
can join to law control,
they now determine right or wrong.
Land morphs to hellhole.
{Trump laws will rend to save a friend...
that does not make them innocent.}

The Laureate-Mail-in Ballots

Mail-in Ballots

Those who could catch Covid-19,
because to vote must wait in line,
should sue the RNC.
And by their vote, red pols malign.
{Since Trump is Red... make that his dread.}

Trump Visits Arizona

Trump was unhappy in OK,
and now he’s coming to AZ.
And I am hoping we can say
he only stirred hostility.

The Laureate-Trump's Rally

Trump’s Rally

Nothing was changed at his rally...
there still are bats in his belfry.
He tells the same lies,
but that’s no surprise...
it’s what he does when he’s cocky.
{And it helps him to foes debase.}

The Laureate-Trump"s Nerve

Trump’s Nerve

Trump’s says please attend his rally
but willingly must take this chance,
for if the virus ends your life,
your burial he’ll not finance.

this show of love is a disgrace.}

The Laureate-Trump Divulges Secrets?

Trump Divulges Secrets?

If all The Don says is secret,
so is every Twitter tweet.
Best all alert...peeps now overt
and one gaffe could sink our fleet.
{“A slip of the lip can sink a ship.”
To Trump that’s part of leadership.}

The Laureate-The Bighorn Fire 61720

The Bighorn Fire 61720

The Bighorn fire moves from the winds
and that is where the threat begins.
The men that fight
each day...through night
can only alter Nature’s whims.
{Best follow and pray every day!}

Trump’s Policing Guidelines

If The Don controls policing
like he handles our Covid plight,
he might just say don’t cause a scene...
when cops do harm, best look contrite.

The Laureate-The Bighorn Fire

The Bighorn Fire

As fire draws near and spreads its fear
that home may end in flame,
I search my mind as now resigned
my treasures it may claim.
What can I leave with lesser grief
and what dare not be lost?
What not to save and later crave...
for so abhor the cost?
Treasures galore are held in store
in every home and heart.
Each souvenir is held quite dear
and painful to depart.
Will I despair my favored chair
if it should be consumed.
Most property I guarantee
is loved less than presumed.
What then is much too dear to me
to let kismet destroy?
Most things I own are toys outgrown…
I need not...but enjoy.
No need persists in pondering,
all toys will break anon.
It’s love alone that I may own
‘till life itself is gone.

They write to loose their soul
but must control where thoughts may go.
For as minds wander through the years,
‘tis best they know where facts now flow.

Voter Suppression

Red pols must think we’re idiots

The President is right...
we should put people back to work.
But, he best never solve our plight,

The Laureate-Red Errors Bode Blinders?

Red Errors Bode Blinders?

Red pols think Trump can do no wrong...
is that stupidity or fear?
Can’t they hear descent from the throng...
or do the fools think it’s a cheer?
{If it’s true they dread The Don,
time voters say, “Begone!”}

Professor Trump

The lies Trump tells can be your class,
that you should  strive to quickly pass.

The Laureate-My Prez 6520

My Prez, 6520

Rhymes I’ve written you o’er the years...
some filled with cheers, but more with jeers,
noticed conceit, temper and tongue
made it clear you’ll concede no peers.

You’ll also take some bad advice...
rather than ask, you roll the dice.
You seem to think you are a sage...
though rarely is a choice precise.
{Now you’re finding friends are foes,
where it ends, God only knows.}

The Laureate-Bias

    Bias

Fools, you judge by naught but skin,
in lieu of what's contained within.
If souls were bared to common view,
how few would bid you, “Enter In.”

I wrote this poem in college in 1957.

The Laureate-Trump’s Photo Op

Trump’s Photo Op

Trump’s photo op Bible stunt
after his army cleared a park,
was just one more Donald affront
that merely added one more spark.
Those ejected were first passive,
but anger could morph to massive.
{Christ would embrace, not abase.}

The Laureate-The Don’s Solution

The Don’s Solution

The Don would solve our states' problems
for reactions to bizarre death.
His army will now quiet all
who feel the pain of those bereft.

Though states have used all they command,
Trump’s army shall now make its stand.
The Constitution says no way...
let’s pray this law he will obey.
