Stop Lights
Strange, is it
not, Man reached the moon
and Mars and orbs
in outer space.
With stars and
moon Man can attune,
but traffic lights
fools cannot pace.
Men time
ignition... retro... land,
and never are one
second late.
But, the fools who
time stop lights
make us waste gas
each light and wait.
It seems the
physics of the task
doesn’t work on earthly
streets.
To quicken
distance, time or speed,
putrid planning
oft competes.
Too many lights!
