The Middle Class

The leaders of the red and blue

say they love the middle class.

Strange that’s where some started, too,

but since then they did wealth amass.

They don’t share my mayhem

to keep one’s head afloat.

I very rarely hear from them

until they want my vote.

I’ll tell you how to save me now...

as my nest egg fast decays.

Please, no longer tax endow

to those whose honor frays.

Repeal all bad entitlements...

that’s how to tax the well-to-do.

Ensure our taxes aren’t misspent...

imprison all who do.

Our mores should never become less.
