Independence

We celebrated yesterday,

but murderers soon had their say.

Independence for those who kill

think that slaughter shows free will.

They don’t belong in this country...

Hell is where they all should be.

                                                         Independence Day

As we gaze upon the sky,

and rockets fill our night.

Sousa marches make us cry

while the flag glow reveals their flight.

{It waves for all who fight and die

to shield our dear birthright.}

High Winds

Born in Chicago, Illinois,

it was called the windy city.

The gusty winds would all annoy

and usually made me angry.

Now I live near Tucson, AZ...

for thirty years the mountains high

were the sight I would love to see.

Then global warming came,

and our strong winds near make me fly.

Billionaires

The rich control politicians

and in command of middle class.

They decide all their conditions

that now create this land’s morass.

They dare not solve our people’s need...

they fear that they may quench their greed.

{We have to stop them with our vote,

or we can’t keep this land afloat.}

Fatigue {Satori Haiku}

Don’t make life duress!

Paid, or not, if tired rest...

fatigue can obsess.

My Poetry

As laureate, my poems are free...

they bring me peace and that is key.

Since I have used the Internet,

my followers alone beset.

From USA and foreign lands,

forty-one thousand are my fans.

I love them all and each now friend...

ninety-two nations my rhymes wend.

Over three thousand poems were sent,

and never have I asked one cent.

                  Amendment I

Trump loves Amendment I,

it shields him when he lies.

It is a means to let him vent

when he the truth denies.
