Although it’s hot, I love July…

at least I love the 4^th.

The music, rockets amplify

the love our Flag draws forth.

The music swells fidelity.

The rockets with their glow

will lume our symbol faithfully

safeguards all those below.

The Supreme Court

 (Lies)

The Court says that you have the right

to lie about your deeds.

Amendments deem lies are alright

if they fulfill your needs.

Yet if you lie in court

they’ll throw you arse in jail...

I guess our Constitution

was writ in runic braille.

In The News-The Supreme Court

If nine souls who are pros

cannot agree a law meets test,

though all perused same prose,

they judge if pros or cons did best.

In tort law when the jury’s hung,

the judge without exception,

asks the twelve be sent far-flung…

and question their perception.

The Supreme Court only asks that five

agree on what they judge.

Yet, know few can their bias shrive…

and a judge will rarely budge.

Is our Constitution safe?

The evenings when the sun displays

aurora borealis,

remember that within the blaze

is beauty filled with malice.

decides who immigrate.

And, though they are quite slow,

the state's fate is to wait.

To ask if one’s illegal

may not be apropos.

If Feds think that you asked them wrong,

they just may let him go.

UN again has met to solve

the ecosystem’s plight.

Seems ev’ry decade nations meet

to ease what human’s blight.

Each conference end they all agree

it’s time that all should act.

But ten years hence, with world more tense,

we’ll find no course was backed.

What’s happening to justice?

Is trial by your peers

meaningless if lawyers choose

those steered by puppeteers?

Both sides are given the same facts

and then debate begins.

It’s very strange that different tacks

decide who sinks or swims.

Observers find the jury’s choice

of either ”pro” or “con”

leaves them unsure that truth prevailed…

just best orator won.
