Thanksgiving

                                          Thanksgiving was proclaimed

in seventeen and eighty-nine.

George Washington declared we thank

He who is divine.

The Pilgrims had joined together

that they could celebrate

to thank their God for the harvest

that would their hunger slake.

 

Know we also should be thankful

what God provides each day…

sustainable and spiritual

manna along our way.
