Physicist to Poet
As physicist, I did relent
when
I retired I folded tent...
decided
to leave that fab field,
and
see what poet’s lives can yield.
I
heard that poets don’t get rich
and
oft to prose smart writers switch.
Twenty-seven
hundred poems
published
in my ten books of gems
never
made me wealthy,
but
readers keep my mind healthy.
Thousands
at home and foreign bent
have
never had to pay one cent...
because
love shown when they return
prove
for my poetry they yearn.
