My Olympic Goodbye
Olympic Games are
over,
the torch is now
at rest.
Athletes vied to
prove to all
they stand above
the rest
.
You that did, or
did not, win
bronze, silver or the gold
return now to your
countries...
with fame pealed
out tenfold.
You’ve proven
dedication
can solve most
worldly plights...
now dedicate your
prowess
toward peace in the floodlights.
