Easter

If you would honor God this day,

learn his commandments and obey.

There are but ten with equal weight,

but one addresses never hate.

Remember this, “Thou shall not kill,”

and all of them with love fulfill.

When I reflect on adult life,

I thank God for my plaudits stored.

For when ennui brings with it strife,

acclaim can bring back sweet accord.

Applause can light the darkest days

and will protect me from malaise.

You must rarely anger vent...

Keep them safe from evils sin...

don’t let harm begin.

 

The Planet’s Dying

All sunsets, be there clouds. or clear,

should stir your soul as they appear.

They augur the planet's end,

and little time to persevere.

 

 

                                                           St. Patrick’s Day 

No need to sail to Erin

to meet the people there. 

St Patrick’s Day we’re sharin’

same smiles they always wear. 

For we are honored Irish

this one day of the year,

and we must toast to all our wish

with liters of green beer.

 

So let us rise together

and lift and quaff our cups. 

Though God knows soon hereafter

there’s headaches and hiccups.
