Ennui

When days are rough and smiles come tough,

rest and share the warmth of sun.

You can flee the gloomy place,

and ennui’s bondage soon undone.

Mores

Parents, Teachers!  You’re tasked to guide.

Our mores must with you reside.

Youth to adult, and far beyond,

need good advice to turn wrong tide.

Friday’s Senryu – Intelligence

Thrace to Samarkand

none e’er rebuke idle hands...

wits built their heartlands.

Congress

Turn not your back on Brotherhood

for there God says is greatest good.

Best work as one says He to thee,

and Man will progress as he should.

 Friday’s Senryu-Grief

Humor brings relief

when you are perturbed by grief...

best it be not brief.

Senryu-Scams

Thirteen calls this day

from who failed  to their names say

 have now lost their prey.

Covid and Its Variants

From whence has come this vile disease?

The Lilliputian Erinyes

may be a cruel penance served,

much like The Toils of Hercules.
