The Laureate-To Democratic Candidates

To Democratic Candidates

Dems who would be President
must reconsider what they tout.
Pledge to fix our Medicare,
but there are worse ills to work out.

Trump has not done anything
to keep our allies close.
Our water, air and infrastructure
reveals he’s comatose.

Take the fore on gun control...
put NRA on notice.
From here on out
they best not shout
for they have a new POTUS.

{These actions are but few
of what you need to do!}

The Laureate-Impeachment Testimonies

Impeachment Testimonies

When your Don forbids you
to tell that which you know,
you may lose your virtue,
and in his lies wallow.

You will become his pawn
to verify his lies...
too late may think, thereon,
and pray for his demise.
{Act now, or his sins allow!}

The Laureate-Strife {Haiku}

The Morrow
{At best, a guess!}

Strife {Haiku}

At times in your life
you may face appalling strife...
pray Chi finds the Way.

The Laureate-The Don's Pawns

The Don’s Pawns

It seems red pols have become dense...
though some, once lawyers, must have sense.
But as a pawn
obey their Don...
and now abide all his nonsense.
{Independence means independently.}

The Laureate-Trump, The Entertainer

Trump, The Entertainer

Trump always entertains his base
like a man with sleight of hand.
They sense ills go without a trace...
as part of his sham fairyland.
{Do not believe what fakers weave.}

The Laureate-Dancing With The Stars

Dancing With the Stars

When the dancer with least talent
is voted back each week,
it’s obvious to me,
the star must have a massive clique.

Leave the voting to the judges.
Don’t let the audience critique.
Just let the best win the contest
and do away with that gimmick.
{...and then, I may just watch the show again.}

The Laureate-'Tis Time, Pols!

‘Tis Time, Pols!

Time to listen to your base...
all red and blue, note tone from them.
If this prez proved but a disgrace,
you must suspect what votes they’ll pen.
{Take care, or share in his disgrace!}
