The Laureate-False Facts

The Internet

How many times I've criticized

the phony facts residing there.

Then "60 Minutes" publicized

a perp who said that deed is fair.

The perp, as an attorney,

states falsehoods not a crime,

For they will make their journey

before you prove those facts don't rhyme.

Know near two hundred lawyers

reside in Congress ...make our laws.

Before you elect more voyeurs

check their ethos for such flaws.

at least to me,

We seem obsessed by monsters

in Lock Ness, forests, raging seas,

but best we search among us

for parasites where we’re garni.

The Laureate-St. Patty's Day

St. Patty’s Day

No need to sail to Erin

to meet the people there. 

St Patrick’s Day we’re sharin’

same smiles they always wear. 

For we are honored Irish

this one day of the year,

and we must toast to all our wish

with liters of green beer.

So let us rise together

and lift and quaff our cups. 

Though God knows soon hereafter

 there’s headaches and hiccups.
