The Laureate-The Moscow Trip

Moscow Trip

Strange!
Red pols have gone to Moscow,
even though they all should know
that Russia tampered with last vote.
Were our pols there to ask they care
enough this Fall to on them dote?

The Laureate-Pat's 78th Birthday

Happy 78th Birthday

This is your very special day,
but also is the same for me.
It is a chance for me to say
you’ve filled my life with amity.

You’re at my side when I need care,
your tender touch can ease all pain.
And, when at night I sense you there
the warmth of love fills our domain.

So, on this day my wish for you
is your every wish comes true.

The Laureate-Scott Pruitt Resigns

Scott Pruitt Resigns

Though worst malfeasant in modern days,
the Prez continues to pile on praise.
The Prez said  he would drain the swamp
yet still lets White House gators graze.

The Laureate-Trump's Trade War

Trump’s Trade War

The Prez began a trade war
and found that he may lose much more.
Companies now must raise their costs
on goods that were too steep before...
now voters will be very sore.

The Laureate-4th of July

4th of July

As you gaze upon the sky
as rockets fill the night,
and Sousa’s marches make you cry…
our flag lit by their light,
remember good men fight and die
to shield our dear birthright.

The Laureate-Some Tweets Repeat Deceits

Some Tweets Repeat Deceits

Though truth was stretched, this knave is bold.
And, all the lies that he has told
have over time lost their stench...
and o’er and o’er have been resold.

The Laureate-The Pet

The Pet
They first define your working day,
the time to sleep and time to play.
Then they choose the fitting food
by aye or nay with attitude...
but do not buy a week’s supply
tomorrow it will sit and dry.
You never know the proper toy
too quickly does their interest cloy.

How easily we are to train
once they've outlined their domain.
