The Laureate-Demand Transparency

Demand Transparency!

Best know that all the money dark
that’s given our politicos
comes from donors who assume
the quid pro quo to end their woes.

The Laureate-They Are Like Weeds

They Are Like Weeds

How oft confronted by a weed,
our greatest fear, it soon will seed.
And as we seize the hoe or spray,
we know we must proceed with speed.

Like terrorist, a corrupt pol,
has  long forgot his holy vow,
and has, for evil, sold his soul...
and our next vote must oust him now.

The Laureate-Scott Pruitt, et al

Scott Pruitt, et al

Where does Prez Trump come by such men...
too many perps in his bullpen.
Most of them think our income tax
is fare for kleptomaniacs.

The Laureate-Our Army...Where?

Our Army...Where?

Our Army is too busy...
involved in world defense.
Now Prez would use it as a wall...
just more of his nonsense?

Prez wanted a parade...
the border’s not a place for it.
It’s where two countries freely trade...
not where armed forces should commit.

The Laureate-Each Day

Each Day

Each day the dawn and sunset vie
to stir those dreams you set awry.
‘Cause with the dawn a new lot’s cast
and what’s on hold could vivify.

The Laureate-Fake Truths.

Fake Truths

When you add some spice to facts,
no truth remains, just lies will wax.
And all the gusto you impart
cannot solve what your truth now lacks.

The Laureate-Tiangong-1 Satellite

Tiangong-1 Satellite

Two thousand, two hundred, seventy-one
satellites circle the earth each day.
That’s fine, I guess, until they are done
and find our planet is in its way.

It’s fine for a very tiny orb,
they tend to burn up in the sky.
But, if the ether does not absorb,
pray God it does not land nearby.
