If they always nod an aye

for all the Prez may do, or say,

the voters roar may overrule.

The Laureate-Lawyers

When I was young I’d climb a tree

and blunders duly fell on me.

For judgment errors by a fool,

now lawyers use their golden rule.

“Sue Deep-Pockets. They were lax...

Some buy the products, all pay tax.”

That logic is the lawyer’s tool

and provides the judgment’s fuel.

The jurists are indeed his peers...

their common sense oft nears nadirs...

for they forget they’re guilty too.
