The Laureate-The Media Today
Our memory oft will bias paint,
and history is for most too faint.
And words found in the media,
should ne'er deemed true...and sensed sans taint.

The Laureate-Our Rights
We are so conscious of our rights,
we oft react to minor sleights.
We seek attorneys for their aid
not knowing lawyers cause our plights.
They find the holes within our laws,
that pols created from their flaws...
but many pols are lawyers too.
Do you not share the eerie pause?

The Laureate-Internet Providers
Internet Providers
(Google, Bing, Explorer...all)
Know! When you ply the Internet,
there’s one thing you should ne’er forget,
providers note all that you do...
and sell it to repay your debt.
(Your personal data safe...nyet!)

The Laureate-The Arena
We vie in an arena
like the coliseum in Rome.
The foes are just as dangerous,
but they oft strike us in our home.
With e-mail, phone or Internet...
and veiled sword and shield,
they use but words, the foul dastards,
and probe to find a cache unsealed.
Best never leave your guard relaxed
or perps assail your frail greenbacks.

The Laureate-Trial Penalty Phase
{Jodie Arias, et al}
If you deem death as too severe,
though guilt of the crime is very clear,
recuse yourself from the vote
or bias may true justice veer.

The Laureate-Scandal, et al
Notice that the media
takes a theme...regurgitates...
and what we thought once put to rest
is set asunder by their taints.

The Laureate-Dear Prez
When illegals crossed and birthed,
you failed an answer to unearth.
You now propose to levy tax
to morph the problem and relax.
