Publishers

No longer I use publishers...

some try, but all have lost.

When they agreed to publish books,

their extras, for that adds to cost.

If they must sell the book for me,

the money I pay quickly rises.

And, money I pay for books sold

just adds to their enterprises.

My pittance earned made me burn,

and I finally said, “No more.”

I publish on the Internet

and readers do now soar.

It doesn’t cost me much

and for them it is free.

O'er, forty thousand fans have come

to read my latest poetry.

Congress needs the best.

Make them pass tough mental test...

country now impressed.

 

 

All My Morrows

What will I do should my life end,

and I must leave my kith and kin.

I pray my soul to God will wend,

and evermore I’ll stay with Him.

I will see again those I held dear,

meet relatives I never knew.

Famous people that I revere

could tales to me imbue.

But, most importantly to me

will be my present family.

Over time, once more we will meet,

and future morrows can’t be beat.

April Showers?

Few April showers come our way,

but  the high winds have come each day.

Will we have flowers

or wasted hours

when sinuses sway May.

The Rich Charlatans 

They’re charlatans and libertines...

the rich who work behind the scenes.

They’ll buy a pol,

 morph him afoul

of where their ethic leans.

 

Pollen

Again pollen imbues the air

and does my sinuses impair.

It’s done that since I was a kid,

and flowers could not pain forbear.

 

April Winds

I was told to bask in the sun

and health improvements would be won.

But April winds are very strong...

protections feel like a prison.

 

 Pols and Dark Money

 I vowed my poems would be light 

until dark money made me write. 

It‘s tough to render any bliss

when pols only for wealth delight.

How many more will have to die 

when few weapons made restrictive.

It seems anger has gone awry 

and mental illness afflictive.

 If pols have supported The Don

 because his base will vote for them, 

it’s best they know path may be gone

if any crimes juries condemn

With God, we can find peace.

With red pols, problems never cease.

This is the day called April Fools,

when minds at play can facts abuse.

Most are filled with wit,

and we  laugh at it.
