though they all know it is not real.

They pass new laws and say they’re fair,

but their controls will votes impair.

If  Red pols are crooks, they don’t deserve

Vague laws are tough to litigate,

but lawyers have skill at debate.

Trials are fraught with irony

when they try to spur or sedate.

Deep Pockets 

The logic that’s the lawyer’s tool

oft can provide the jury’s fuel.

He doesn’t want the perp to lose

so vague laws he will often choose.

Local laws are covered by tax,

blaming pols help the peers relax.

Deep pockets pay the penalty,

and the lawyer’s perp is set free.

You need not sword to beat the foe,

let quill bestow the proper blow.

Expose your rival for his sins...

you’ll need but words, not bared bodkins.

when fertile minds with humor stray,

and those who fail in mental duels

are mockingly called “April Fools.”
